Best Speaker's Debates 2006 
 

The Best Speakers’ Debate was held in the Edmund Rice Hall on Saturday the 2nd  September 2006 from 10 a.m. onwards.

The topic for the debate was-

“The Global Village Today is a World With No Boundaries”.

The judges of the day were-

Mr. G. Kochhar, Mr. A. Mubayi and Mr. Z. Pratap.

Speakers-

The speakers were selected on the basis of their performance in the preliminary debates held in April  (XII) and July (XI)

The Speakers were-

The judges were welcomed by Aritra Ganguly of XII C and the debate was chaired by-

Shresth Srivastav

Parents of all the speakers were in the audience, lending their voices to the already near-deafening cheering. Most of them attended the debate and were very appreciative of the proceedings.

The debate went off smoothly and all the three judges were impressed with the organization and the high quality of debating.

At the end, each judge was presented with a bouquet, a memento and a card.

The results were as follows.

Best Speaker            -          Prithvi Rohan Kapur    (XII E)

IInd Best speaker     -           Cinjal Shah                ( XI C)

Best Interjector          -         Achintya Prakash        ( XII E)

Class XII was victorious, breaking a 4-year old jinx.

The winners of the Preliminary Round were also given gold medals.
