5th May was celebrated in
‘celebrating’ Edmund Rice, our FOUNDER and his values of loving, caring
and sharing. The day began with a special assembly by the boys of class
3C. The life of Edmund was depicted in a short play signifying his
efforts to reach out to the poor and needy. There was collective prayer
service where the junior columbans united to revive the spirit of Edmund
, as one united family.
The assembly was followed by a ‘fun-filled
day’ which included a ‘snack-making’ activity and an art-activity. The
boys were all smiles being a ‘chef’ making burgers, sandwiches, juice
mocktails etc. the classes were buzz with laughter and joy as the boys
shared their special delicacies with each other.
In the latter part of the day, special art
activities were organized which included ‘ hand printing’ activities,
‘kite- making activities’ and ‘paper-bag’ making activity. The corridors
were full of art displays and the whole school looked bright.
The boys enjoyed ice-creams and patties in
their classes. At the end of the day they all carried the spirit of
Edmund Rice and memories of a special day, on the way back home. |
