Founder's Day - 2008

5th May was celebrated in ‘celebrating’ Edmund Rice, our FOUNDER and his values of loving, caring and sharing. The day began with a special assembly by the boys of class 3C. The life of Edmund was depicted in a short play signifying his efforts to reach out to the poor and needy. There was collective prayer service where the junior columbans united to revive the spirit of Edmund , as one united family.

The  assembly was followed by a ‘fun-filled day’ which included a ‘snack-making’ activity and an art-activity. The boys were all smiles being a ‘chef’ making burgers, sandwiches, juice mocktails etc. the classes were buzz with laughter and joy as the boys shared their special delicacies with each other.

In the  latter part of the day, special art activities were organized which included ‘ hand printing’ activities, ‘kite- making activities’ and ‘paper-bag’ making activity. The corridors were full of art displays and the whole school looked bright.

The boys enjoyed ice-creams and patties in their classes. At the end of the day they all carried the spirit of Edmund Rice and memories of a special day, on the way back home.
