ANNUAL CHRISTMAS  PAGEANT   2004

Each year the number of participants grows from 250 to 350 to 520 and 2004 saw a staggering 700 children dancing, singing, acting and generally having their dramatic moment in time. The pageant is held each year in the Edmund Rice Auditorium.

The theme for 2004 was ‘Symbol of Symbols’. It explained how Jesus symbolizes Peace, Joy and Love. Spiritual and Secular symbols were enacted. The Pageant commenced with a breath-taking dance of peace by our teachers and class IX students. This was done to Vedic Chanting with a voice over. The acting was supported by a PowerPoint presentation. Hand-held angel puppets and “human” puppets were the key elements of surprise in the shepherd scene. The Quwali, in Urdu ,on the joy of Christmas along with the class IV “Bells” rang out the good news. From the class XI kings and class IX cohorts to the “guest” appearance made by 30 small boys of class I who were gifts and toys each Childs confidence received that little extra boost.
