St. Columba’s School celebrated Labour's day on 1st May, 2008. The students and teachers of the Middle school,  Brother Pinto, Brother Finn and Mrs. Sheel gathered on the field for a special assembly to honour the workers and helpers of our school. The function was organized by Mrs. Nigam with the help of Akhil Sud, Vibhor Kashmira, Nikhil Chaturvedi, Abhishek Singh and Upamnyu Das.

The significance of the day was explained and  individual workers  were  called on stage and presented gifts as token of our appreciation towards their contribution in making our lives more comfortable. The sentiments of some of the workers towards the school, the students and their work (collected through interviews held prior to the function) were expressed. It was indeed a very heart warming experience for everyone.
